This neighborhood gym has an amazing warm and encouraging culture. Before coming here my workouts followed a more traditional bodybuilding program. I had been wanting to join a group fitness class for a long time since I fell off track with the gym during covid. Everyone here was super friendly from the start. No matter your fitness level the coaches will be sure to make sure you leave every workout feeling like you gave it your all.
A great strength/functional fitness based gym! Class sizes are small enough so that there's time and attention spent on demo-ing moves and correcting form. My friend and I are more beginners but there are also really advanced people at the gym as well, so the range is great and I don’t feel intimidated at all. Coaches are approachable and also take time to get to know you. They have a neighborhood vibe and the people I’ve met in class have all been really nice.
Gowanus Fitness is a great community-oriented gym that creates a safe place for you to become stronger while also having fun. Coaches Kat and Victor are excellent coaches. They explain everything clearly and push you to challenge yourself! Also, the facilities are brand new and top notch. I highly recommend this training gym!
After years of strictly doing cardio for exercise, I decided to try Gowanus Fitness to introduce some weight training into my routines. The group workouts are a great balance of strength and conditioning. The coaches are great and can modify workouts to all abilities. Highly recommend this place!
