The workouts are comprehensive and their structure gives you room to challenge your strength and cardio fitness. It’s allowed me to build power & strength while also scratching the itch for a HIIT-like sweat. More importantly, the coaches are so lovely to work with and get to know — one of the benefits of joining a locally-owned and -run gym. Very open & inclusive to all. The coaches pay tons of attention to your form, goals & overall progress. Look no further for your next workout spot (and new fitness community!).
The members are of varying fitness levels which is great and motivating. They have a 6am class which works perfectly for me as a mom. I tried running in the park and working out at a gym by myself – I can say without a doubt that joining Gowanus Fitness is the best decision I have made for my fitness in a long time.
